Week 3 at Artful times

Here we are with our 3rd challenge at Artful Times and boy did you do us proud with your green creations  :)
Neet thought she had more TIME to get her post  for this week done, but has pulled it all together at the last minute

I'm making time for tea with this easel card and I've used Tim's clock cut out of card covered with crafty notions gilding flakes, then stuck onto another piece of card covered with a patterned paper aged with distress inks , to mount the clock I stamped some roses and then cut following the out line and slipped the clock in place all finished off with a spellbinder teapot  and rose bow
oh did I say the clock face from a Kanban set is a perfect match for the clock :)

Mosaic Butterflies

After seeing Sandra's butterfly tag for Tim's 12 tags of 2012 I thought I had better go and check it out Wow what a fab idea I hooked and spent the day yes they are time consuming to make well I thought so lol , I've used the spellbinders butterfly and gave it my own twist with a ribbon body and wire anteni , I did one on the grungeboard and used distress embossing powder but I'll show that on a card later ;)
These one are done on card from a cereal box 2 are snipped paper and 2 I've used punched shapes

The the white background is that jar of snowflake I bought years ago and never really used but makes a perfect backdrop for the mosaic, 2 darker ones are using some mixed up embossing powders ( you know that little pot you throw odd bits into )

Tip

When heating the EP start in the centre as the tape will shrink at the edges, nice on the grunge as it pulls the wings giving them movement, but looks ugly on the card

Week 47 at Just for Fun

A quiet week for Zoe's choice of seasons and summer at Just for Fun, but so lovely to see those of you taking a break from the Christmas cards :)  now we are revisiting autumn on this the winter solstice so days can only get lighter and hopefully brighter from today .
For my creation this week I've used part of a stamp from Third coast a fairy among the brambles, my OH think she looks a bit scary. I've made a chip board frame by glueing layers together cut with a nestability, coloured some card with the autumn DI's love that seedless preserve just the right colour for all those autumn fruits, die cut some leaves and used candy cane stickles for the berries , so if you have time to play along with us this week Zoe Neet and myself will only be to happy to come and vist you :)

Favourite shape at just for Fun

We certainly saw some wonderful techniques this last week :) from all you wonderful crafters

What's your favourite shape ? maybe a die cut or card shape like Zoe
Well mines the Paisley from spellbinders I've used the largest a number of times as a tag but thought for a change I'd use a smaller one on a card inked up some paper with the new seedless preserve chipped and stamped my image with chipped sapphire cut 2 out and had a happy accident 2 make a heart shape :) nothing was planned it all just sort of happen as I went along, I've used sequin waste for the dots with spun sugar on the base card

Week 30 at Just for Fun

The black and white cards we saw last week at Just for Fun were just amazing  and this week Sam is adding another colour to the mix this Silver  :)
Also it was my turn to choose a guest designer for this month  and I have chosen Janet, she has produced not only stunning pieces each week but has also been happy to swap them in our monthly swap, so if you haven't stopped by her blog before then please do :) or if you would like to join in a swap could be just for one of the weeks or more if you like, then check the details HERE
For my piece this week I have made a door hanging which now adorns No 1 sons door and believe me you don't want to go there lol
I used very thick black card stamped with gesso and bubble wrap and Tim's skull embossed in white, the same with the text, for the silver I used sticky backed foil and cut with a spellbinder die and an old button with a ship on it.

To finish it off I cut another piece of card and stuck the two together for extra strength and edged with a silver pen

Make My Monday

Make my Monday challenge is still on a flower theme this time add them to a tag who could resist :)
I've used the large paisley die from spellbinder wild honey and peeled paint DI inks and a lovely set of stamps won from Jozart  for guessing it was smooshies she'd written on her hand, thank you Jo :)
The shimmer you can see on main flower is perfect pearls

Metal flower

The Craft Barn have challenged us to make concertina flowers with out the die, I don't have it anyway and have done them before with paper . I loved the one done in metal so took that as my inspiration. I've used the paisley die from spellbinders to make my tag , inked with briliance ink pad and embossed with a pearl embossing powder. the flower is coloured with alcohol inks and the small one left plain

Things with wings

Humm had to give this some thought as I wanted to do something different , but would you believe it it's gone pink again lol. The shoe is a stamp from Joanna Sheen and the die cuts made with  spellbinders . All the inks used are Ranger distress inks

Easel Card

I'm still in a clean and tidy mood so I'm entering this easel card for the stampman challenge made again with the spellbinder dies

In the round

I've been away for the weekend visting a crafting friend in Wales ( yes it rained lol ) so thought I would combine a thank you card with the Lots To Do challenge shapes.

All the circles and the easle cards have been cut using spellbinder the stamp is from Inkadinkado and the words cut on the silhouette. All finished off with a touch of distress inks
