Summers comming

Inspired by the lovely sunny days we have been having and a set of free Indigo Blu stamps from simply cards and papercraft.
A wrinkle free background with dried marigold squeezed lemonade spun sugar and tumbled glass, then a stencil from Creative Expressions and milled lavender an often forgotten colour. The flowers and butterfly were then stamped onto the remaining coloured card and coloured with distress markers before being fussy cut.

I hope this is excitable for Less is More were the challenge is flowers
What a shame the weather has changed in the blink of an eye and it's back to raining

Favourties for Out of the Hat

Out of the Hat are asking this week what's your favourite well for me it's got to be stamping oh and of course I love masking and then there's my new favourite tools the ink dusters and Less is More are having another colour challenge of pink and brown which spells vintage shabby chic to me in a CAS style.
The lady from Paper Artsy was stamped in brushed corduroy on a background of tattered rose applied with the ink duster, the corner flourish from Creative Expression was then stamped over the masked lady with victorian velvet.
Hope you like it and thanks for popping by :)
I'm also entering this in Addicted to stamps who also want to see a CAS card

Challenge 8 at Artful Times

It was lovely to have a little haven of sunshine on the challenge blog the last fortnight with so many bright and cheerful entries and some new followers making us now at 102 :)
I'd also like to welcome my new followers  it's an honor to have you

We have handed the reins over to Sam for the next fortnight with her theme of Modes of Transport  at Artful Times. Of course there are lots of options, air, land and sea though the team have their feet firmly on the ground
For my tag I closed my eyes and just picked 2 colours of distress inks and got 2 colours I would never have put together Tumbled glass and Crushed Olive, stamped with the olive for the ground and tumbled glass in the sky and edged with brushed corduroy

Just for fun week 6

Well Zoe had us scratching our heads with try a new technique to You and it isn't until you see what someone else has done that you think owww never tried that !!! and I saw my idea on another challenge where someone had used gilding flakes in a distressed manner so had to think how could I do that .So on my card I have used an old 2 way glue marker that didn't flow nicely anymore and put the glue done in a haphazard way and then added the gilding flakes, the mask I drew and cut out by edged with a gold pen.
I'd also like to enter this in the Gingersnaps Creation Mardi Gras Challenge
This card has already been swapped, so I have made an atc but this time using a 2 way glue pen and brushing the glue with an old toothbrush and used some hot foil instead just to compare the two :)

A little bit of bling

I love to wear a bit of bling but when it comes to cards me and bling don't mix to well lol so a simple card with a little prisma glitter and 3 tiny star gems fits the bill for the challenge for Lots To Do this week.
