I'm converted

Yesterday I took my friends Becky's place as she wasn't feeling very well on Hels workshop.
I got to play with the new distress paints !!! yeah I'm converted as I didn't think I needed another type of paint, just love the way they work with the distress inks a real eye opener for me but I guess most of you  know how wonderful they are .
Here's one of the pages in the book we did

Thanks for popping by xxx

Finnabair Weekend

If you haven't all ready heard it was a fantastic weekend for those of us on the Finnabair weekend, meeting with peeps I'd met before and meeting many for the first time and I finally got to meet Neet and her friend Wendy

Three projects with three over generous kits .

First project was a 12 x12, I've never work on such a large piece before

Second project was the canvas 8 x8 a size more in my comfort zone but still a first for me really enjoyed making it and plan to do some more in the future :)

Finale project a journal cover and I'm feeling more confident

We then did some journal pages with what we had left over, but scatty me left one of them behind so I'll post them another day
Thank you, everyone there the fintastic Anna  and Val and her elves for making it a weekend to remember

Andy Skinner Workshop

I was lucky enough to get a place on the Andy Skinner workshop where I met up with lots of lovely bloging crafters
Well I  have finally finished , and hopefully it has kicked my mojo back into gear
Instead of the paper I used the acrylic paints to distress some lace so it looks like iron work

Altered Book with Jennie

Today I've had a really good time time when I did the Altered Book class With Jennie from the Stamp Connection who came to a local shop at Fareham so nice not to have to travel to far :)
Of course we all started by looking at what our book was call and most of us Oh I want to read it mine was called the Age of Elegance expecting a Romance but no it was about wars anyway I digress
Lot's of different product Terra paste spray inks gesso UTTE. The front back and spine is gesso through a stencil and stamping with gesso dabbed with colour wash

Somewhere in the middle we did the folded page with tags
Then at the back we did the niche  it could have been deeper but I was losing the will to live sticking all the pages together lol it was then covered with Terra paste and stamping into it

and then onto the melt pot for a mold to go into the niche
I shall have to continue this book as I'm so pleased with my results,
Thanks for popping by and if you get the chance for a class with Jennie you won't be dissapointed :)
