Vintage is the theme as chosen by our Neet at Just for Fun and we have the lovely Sandra as the guest this month who has come up with some fab creation for the JFF challenges.
Me thinks the lady is playing hard to get lol

not quiet finished as I haven't decided whether to have it as a hanging or the cover for a book .
Now it's over to you to come up with the goods :)

White on white week 27 at Just for fun

Ever wake up in a panic knowing you have forgotten something well that was me today lol, it's dark and has been raining since the early hours, well at least we had 3 days of a nice hot summer :)
Right back to this months Challenge at Just for Fun set by Sam Add a Colour and for me the hardest month yet I'm so glad I have longer to create something than all you amazing follower who come up with something wonderful by the end of each week :)
For this white on white I have embossed white card stock and cut into squares a little white dreamweaver in the corner not sure why I did that lol the central square are thin strips of corrugated card painted white the bird cut with my Silhouette and painted with Viva mother of pearl topped off with punched and embossed leaves and a hand made paper rose
Have lots of fun and look forward to visiting you :)
I'm also entering this in the Crafts and me which is anything goes

Lazy summers day Week 24 at Just for Fun

Here we are at the second week of Zoe's choice of materials at Just for fun and one you will all be familiar with, it's corrugated card found in strong cardboard box's by tearing off the top layer you know the sort you can get from the super market or you can use the thinner craft corrugated card that comes in different colours . I choose to use both on my project.
After removing the top layer which came off very cleanly wish it hadn't lol I paint with household paint, the nice thing about the craft on is you can punch shapes out of it, I then highlighted the raised bits with a silver dabber, the face I made in a mould with air dry clay and painted with distress rock candy.
I thought I was only joking when I said I be getting wet last Thursday as it was a day of heavy showers and we were at Alnwick Garden admiring the water features lol by the way they have the most amazing loos
Hope you will have lots of fun with this weeks challenge and look forward to seeing you take on the theme .
I'm also entering this to Sir Stampalots anything goes

Steampunk week 21 Just for fun

This week at  Just for Fun  it's the choice of our Neet who is steampunk mad lol. you may notice a lack of steampunk on my blog it's not that I don't like it more I feel I can't do it justice, so for my piece I have made a collage of images representing the idea of steampunk  with an injection of wackiness .
What I would like to make is something in 3D but where do you start lol ...anyway thought I'd share a photo of sculpture I really like and says steampunk to me, a horse made from recycled motor part we saw on holiday a few years ago

Week 5 Just for fun

We have grown by 1 Neet has kindly agreed to join the team with her unique style of crafting and knowledge,  an asset to the team for sure :)
So here we are and Zoe is choosing the themes for the next 4 week and first up is Mixed Media we all do it with out thinking about but there is more to it than adding  buttons and bows .
So how many ingredients will you use to make yours ?
I've used watercolour paper, gesso, colourwash, gell medium which I added some sliver sand granules ( made for standing candles in lol ) worked a treat for the texture, gold colour spray, stamped in veramark and embossed with black soot distress embossing powder. Topped it off with a friendly plastic head and couching braid.
Tip of the week is if you want to coil the braid first punch a small circle add some glue and make your coil on that then you can place it where you want on the finished peice

This 5x5 page is for a swap on the Lots to do forum and I thinks it fits nicely into the Artistics Stamper Challenge layers. I've used layers of paint and inks topped of with metal leaves punched out of a drinks can
