Challenge 30 at Artful Times

Sadly this is to be my last post for Artful Times as I have decided to take a break from the commitment of the challenge, but I shall still be about so please continue to support Neet at Artful Times

Now on with the challenge which for the next fortnight will be "Vintage" and I took inspiration from Brenda and Yvonne  as they make such wonderful layered cards

I started with an embossed and painted background then an inked paper doily, the Crafty Individual image has been stamped many times and decoupaged  all finished off with lace

Birds and Butterflies

Just for a change I started with a piece of pale green card and stamped my butterfly background from Crafty Individual with bleach didn't work as well as I hope but carried on regardless and inked with tumbled glass and stamped again with the bleach, dried it with the heat gun and wow love the colour it turned, stamped the Crafty Individual birds in green and coloured with scattered straw.

Challenge 17 at Artful Times

What fabulous brown orange and white creation you all made last week all very inspiring :)
On to the next challenge chosen by Neet to make a make a fabric tag, NOW don't say but I don't sew you don't even have to pick up a needle if you don't want to I didn't :)
Using the same shirt I made the lavender bags from I cut a tag shape then set about spraying it with colour wash, I then stamped my image from Crafty Individual onto the tag and another piece of fabric with Archival black. White acrylic was then scraped on I coloured the image with the colour was and darkened the edge with a pro marker cut it out and stuck it down with double sided tape, I then stamped the flourish and added some dots with liquid pearls finally added the text again stuck with double sided tape....... Opps I lied I did stitch the flower and the trim on

So come on and give fabric go and join us at Artful Times

Artful Times and mainly green

What an amazing first challenge we have had at Artful Times with 38 enties and 68 wonderful followers :)
Sam's choice this fortnight and she would like to see a mainly GREEN background so off I went and had a messy play time with some inks made the similar way as Netty's on  Happy Daze but no matter how I tried ! it would photograph well, but has happens when you have a play you then can't decide what to do with it so it sits and waits inspiration .
Ok let's try again. Honest there is no white on the background :( I stamped an embossed in clear on a light green wrinkle free background then inked over with the darker green and splashed with water and iron the clear embossing powder to melt it away ready for ...... opps inspiration walked out the door so they also sit wating to be finished off
I really don't think my camera likes green as this is an alcohol ink back ground on glossy card stamped with a Crafty Individual stamp in black Archival and again onto some inked paper and cut out the butterfly and flower so it's a simple atc from me this week
You will find lots more inspiration from Sam and Neet at Artful Times and hope you will all join us again :)

Scene it's meet Alcohol inks

The new challange at the Craft Barn  is dominoes.
I've use some of the coastal scene-it stamps and applied the alcohol ink with a cotton bud so no need for masking :) all edged with a silver leafing pen and some detail added to give the look of sea foam .
This one is covered with Brilliance ink it take a good day to dry even with the help of the heat gun  stamped with a small part of a C.I stamp and embossed a little surka glitter pen at the bottom cornerand edged with pale gold leafing pen

Colour with distress inks

The craft barn's challenge is to water colour with distress inks and you you how I love that :) and the tutorial was a way I hadn't tried before so I've had a play .
To much water on this one and the ink seeped under the embossing, so will probably cut this cut at a later date because I love the way the colours have blended

A bit heavey handed with the reinker here but love the different tones it produced

Three colours used on this one

Clear embossed on black ink, think it's come out ok

This have to be the best for me .
They are all work in progress from a days play so you might get to see one or 2 finished one day :)
Thanks for taking the time to look xxx

New home card

I really enjoy making this card with stamps from Crafty Individuals , they are stamped onto a shaving foam back ground cut out and layered onto pearlecant paper cut with a spellbinder and inked with distress ink, finished off with a ribbon and a cuttle bug board embossing folder inked and cut out .
Hope you like the finished result :)
