Yesterday I took my friends Becky's place as she wasn't feeling very well on Hels workshop.
I got to play with the new distress paints !!! yeah I'm converted as I didn't think I needed another type of paint, just love the way they work with the distress inks a real eye opener for me but I guess most of you know how wonderful they are .
Here's one of the pages in the book we did

I love the fluidity of distress paints and the link with the ink colours (not always a complete match though). You'ce certainly used them to great effect, Von.
I just love what you have created - but am ashamed to say have no idea about the inks and paints working together.. me thinks must investigate further.. Gill x
Lucky you getting that workshop place, love what you made! Valerie
What a gorgeous page... and yes, I have to agree that DPs are significantly different from other paints - like a whole different medium in some ways - and they do play nicely with the inks!

A fabulous page Von, the colours are lovely.
xxx Hazel.
Hey, I was there too! I was sitting virtually next to you on the end table where there were four of us. Chris, tall with short red hair and the short denim skirt and leggings. It was lovely to meet you and your pages are fabulous! Are you going to Ally Pally? xx
That was cool, I pinched stuff from your table too! xx
I still haven't tried them... I too don't need another type of paint, must use more of what I do have!
Wow, what a gorgeous page Von, fabulous colours!! Great stencilling too!
Like you, it took me a while to be a convert to the D paints but love them now, though I still think some of names of the colours leave room for improvement (the vintage photo for instance is nothing like the D Ink. Having said that, they do work wonderfully together with the ink and offer tons of creative possibilities, so yes, I am definitely a convert too now..
Hi Von! Sorry not to be a visitor for a while.
Your page is wonderful. I love the way you've created depth and light in your page.
I haven't got a clue about distress paints as like you, not sure I need anymore paints!
Bet you had good fun taking a class with Hels - she always seems to be such scream.
Hope you are well. Have a lovely weekend.

What a fabulous gift your friend gave to you - and what a fabulous tag you are showing us. Now hope we get to see the rest of the workshop makes.
