Jubilee celebrations

Well  I don't know about you, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this wonderful keeps going as we are having a bit street party right down the village high street, so lots of red white and blue is going up everywhere you look.
I have made time to make this combo for a forum swap a card, atc and bookmark
For the card I've used 3 stencils from Stamps away and DI's  and cut the bunting from some free papers and text from Tim Holtz
The atc again free papers knocked back with picket fence distress stains love how that looks :) Flag from Kanban coloured with water coloured pencils, lion form Tim holtz coloured with DI's  and text made with alphabet pegs

and finally the bookmark again the stencil and lion, the keep calm is a paper hanky.

Challenge 5 at Artful Times

Wow what a good turn out we had for the birds challenge and some new followers so thank you all for taking part :)
This week it's Sam's choice which is to use ribbon and lace, very shabby chic but I don't do it well and I after reorganising the craft room (still not finished) I couldn't find much  .
The tag is cut from water colour paper which has been gessoed and coloured with neocolor 1, the face is paper clay coloured with promarkers and the lace coloured with distress stains, the mover and shapers manikin inked with peeled paint and stamped with SeeD  stamps
Other stamps used are Tim Holtz, Personal Impression and an unknown lace stamp.
Now of course you want to see what Neet and Sam have made Artful Times
Sorry I'm not around as much as I'd like to be but work is hectic at the moment as the shop is closing down, so I shall soon be a lady of leisure.

Challenge 4 at Artful Times

Hiya all it's my turn to set this fortnights challenge at Artful Times and I have choosen Birds .
My card made at the last minute with the new DI's lemon, lilac and peacock, I just had to have a play with the inks when they arrived,  a wrinkle free background on Lavina smooth card which has some sort of coating the colours look so viberant :) stamped the inkadinkao birds in archival and took out some of the colour with water, the text from Creative Expression is embossed with wow embossing powder and the lace stamp is unknown, to finish it off some seam binding coloured with the inks .

It's been a lovely fortnight of visting your timely piece and I really look forward to seeing your birds :)
Take care all

On the Beach with Try it on Tuesday

Now when the mojo goes AWOL there's nothing like a little bit of colouring to make you say yes! I have done something :)
So when I got the new colour DI's they were perfect for the background of this Michael Powel stamp (which one of the DT team has also used at Try It On Tuesday) I've always been a fan of his loose, quirky and sketchy style .
I did the background first with the new colours more of them to come ;) then loosely water coloured with more distress inks

Not the best photos in the world but then it is raining here at the moment ........ Oh and did I say their sponsor is One Stop Crafts
