Friendly plastic

In case you've missed it Sam did a wonderful tutorial on the Just For Fun challenge blog and also there have been more super ones on the Craft Barn, boo hoo to late for their challenge but hey ho never mind .
Everyone makes it look so easy lol, they say put oil on your finger so's not to leave finger prints I'd say rub it all over both hands but them I do get in a right old mess lol
I've used Sam's instruction for making a checkered patten note how neat and tidy hers is compared to mine yes touched it with the wrong finger, no roller so cover a tube with foil and wetted that opps a bit stuck anyway is made for an interesting patten . A brooche pin has been added to the back

Pocket full of sunshine

Over at Dragons Dream TIO it's something with a pocket and there is some lovely inspiration from the DT.
I want to play with the new D stains boy are they good for making stripes I used faded jeans and broken china and embossed with a CB folder and used a jeans pocket stamp from woodware, cut my suns on the silhouette and inkied with spice marmalade the face is from inakinado and the verse which says live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering is one of TH

The team have done some great examples of triangles :)
I started just by cutting some triangles out of grunge board embossed them in folder and coloured with distress stains and clear embossing powder then just played around with the shape till I like the design nothing was preplaned and it all just fell into place with the tag made from corrigated packaging Sams influence on me :) coloured with gesso and colour wash sprays, it could be rays of the sun or a flower it's up to you but I did have fun making this one
Hope you will have as much fun with triangles as we have

Wedding Atc's

I'd quite forgotten I had this stamp and found it lurking in the bottom of a box not sure who made the the stamp but if you know then please do tell :).
Stamped in versfine and coloued with distress inks, the frame which fits it perfectly is from Artemio. The veil has a wash of sukra clear star and dotted with the pen on the flowers.

A more modern feel to this one, again no idea who the stamp is from but have used just part on the image and bleached out the bride and groom , I used water colour pencils, H2o's for the bells and I little flower soft

Hip to be Square week 12 at Just for fun challenge

Ok you can breath easy this week as it's squares at Just for Fun, so many thanks to those of you who rose to the star challenge :)

So this week I'm asking you to think of squares 1 or many just make them the main feature of your art. I have chosen to make 2, a card with a background stamp from Hero arts. Stamp in black and embossed with a holographic powder on a brayerd glossy card, I then removed some of the colour from the squares and colour in with pro markers, cut it to fit my card and mounted a stamped image and the text . The piece I had left over has been mounted behind glass and edged with copper foil tape and it's this piece I shall be putting in the swap :)

Grungy Monday 3

Grungy Monday 3  Linda wants us to use Ranger Adirindack colour wash spray, these are fantastic vibrant colour that don't spilt just like the DI inks so the more water you add the lighter brighter the colour is.
I've had a right old messy time playing with them this week and made a lot of backing paper for when inspiration strikes .
The card I have made was done with a print from a mask that has been sprayed on, I then picked up some of the over spray with cut n dry ans smooched it for the background,  then backed onto paper sprayed with the same colours
I'd also like to enter this for the Simon says  stamp and show challenge show some distressing

Girls Rule Grungy Monday 2

Over at Studio L3 it's week 2 of grungy Monday and it's to use the Studio multi medium with distress inks
I had a few false starts on this one but finally settled on a rossett following the instructions for the stamping ( I used a foam stamp ) used dusty concord, worn lipstick and faded jeans. Tore some strips of mulberry paper and inked to match and finished off with a ring of star dust stickles.
Girls Rule !!! I might be the only one is this house hold being towered over by two stapping lads and the other half but if they want to be fed they have to agree lol :)
Thanks for stopping by and do check out the other fab entries and the DT work

Shaping up at Jff Challenge

Heavens it my choice for this month over at Just for Fun and what's this I forget to post it !!! lol
This month is shapes, each week a different shape to stretch your imagination.
My 5 x 5 page was inspired by the song windmills of you mind but ended up as balls of confusion, so get the wheels in motion and see what you can come up with a circles as the main focus of your art .
I have used one of Tim's Sizzix folders with chalk inks for my die cut circles and the curved ruler is from Paper Artsy the man I have no idea I bought a sheet of stamps at a craft fair but can't remember who made it !
Looking forward to seeing how you interpret this weeks theme .
Have Fun :)
