challenge 25 Alcohol inks

Hello from a wet and miserable Hampshire and I must apologise that I haven't been around much over the last couple of weeks, I have been in solitary confinement feeling very sorry for myself with a bug that's knocked me for six.

But on with the challenge which is to use Alcohol inks, there are lots of  techniques which can be found on the Ranger site but I was looking for something different and found something new to me on Roni's Blog so armed with a can of hairspray and glossy card I had to play and the effect is so different from any of the other techniques

You don't have to worry about over wetting the card as the hairspray doesn't make the paper cockle I then use purple twilight clover and butterscotch and blended by tipping the card the background stamping in Magenta and images in Archival the butterflies have been stamped on a separate piece of card and stuck on, you can't see in the photo but there is some stickles around the edge and the lower right corner.
Now whilst Iwas messing about with the hairspray I discovered it cleans rubber stamps !!!
Looking forward to seeing what you create with your Alochol inks at Artful Times

I've had the same thing, I reckon, Von, and it's taken my mojo away. Not yours though - that is one fab tag. And I've not heard about that hairspray technique before.

So sorry to hear you've been unwell - there have been some really virulent bugs around this year... do hope you're on the road to recovery at least.

Absolutely love your tag - that technique gives an amazing airbrushed quality to the colours - fantastic!

Oh, just been and told Neet I don't know what to do with these and here you are reminding me about those fab colour tutorials Roni did. I even bought hairspray but had forgotten why. Great tag. Hope you are 100% soon

Love this piece. Beautifully vibrant and it shouts out to be looked at. I'm intrigued by the method you've used and think I may need to have a go with that! So love that circle stamp every time I see it.
Take care. Hugs, Juliaxxx
