Recycling in the Kitchen Challenge at JFF

Well it looks like I took you all by surprise last week but hope you agree we did see some imaginative recycling of different paper
This week it's all in the kitchen, all those free containers, tins and plastic, will you be brave enough to make your own stamp using vegetables or a cork or maybe a piece of polystyrene the possibilities are endless remember Neets bag from a milk carton. So with all these ideas why did I do a tag I hear you ask, well I have used a cereal box Shreddies nice and white on the inside :) and takes ink beautifully ( I often use cereal boxes for die cutting ) and then what I haven't tried before the inner sleeve that holds the cereal I used a nestabilities cut out 4 circles and inked with AI 's I was very pleased at how it held it's shape when crumpled :) The back ground is brayed through a piece of netting from some lemons just love how random it is and to finish off some onion skin and the handle of a carrier bag

Last but not least a bag I'm still working on made out carrier bags simply cut off the bottom and then into strips loop them together to form your yarn and crochet away :)

Zoe and Neet have both come up with something completely different :)
Have fun and thinking out of the box is a must for this one so put the little grey cells to work

I love that flower and now will look at my cereal bags a little differently. Another thing on my "to do" list.
Love your crocheted bag - bet it would work with knitting needles too. Hope we see it when it is finished.
Hugs, Neet x
