Anything but a card at Just for Fun

Hear we are at the last week of September and the weather has been so nice here in the south it actually feels more like summer than the summer we've had :)
We saw some inventive shaped creations last week from boxes and cards to wonderful hangings .
This week at Just For Fun you can create anything of your choice as long as it's NOT a CARD or overly cute we do like to see the messier side of crafting lol
For me this is the first time I have actually done something on a canvas, it's covered with some TH paper and inked with distress inks, I've inked through a stencil with more DI inks and embossed with clear embossing powder

Row 4 Other than paper and ink

The final technique was stamping on tissue paper and adding it to canvas can't say I enjoyed this one even though it turned out well in the end

For this row we used other than ink pads and other surfaces so for my falling leaves I used Marvey le plume pens direct on the stamp and spritzed with water ,
I'm also entering this card in the I Break for Challenges

Who lives in a house like this

We certainly saw some wonderful green entries in last weeks Just For Fun Challenge .
Now I wonder what you will make of Zoe's choice of more than four sides, lots of scope to create something wonderful .
I chose to make a house, I can't remember what on earth was going on in my head at the time lol
I drew and cut the pieces out of mount board, covered the roof and door with brown tissue paper and used acrylic dabber to paint the house and the sizzix cut leaves I've had in my stash for eons the stamps used are from Stampendous, Tim Holtz and Inkadinkado

Day 2 of class

Yes I'm all behind most are now on day 7 but I have been busy in the kitchen and after a day of jamming I have made time to make a card using the embossing techniques of day 2 Ive used the paisley folder and chalk inks  on glossy card, die cut the butterfly in card stock and acetate and used the swiss dots folder and joined the two together with wire

Embossing at the Craft Barn

I had such a fabulous surprise last week when an email came from Isa saying they would like to give me their Inspirational Blog award and to make a card for the weeks theme  embossing . I choose to use distress stains and distress embossing powders you can see all the info on the Craft Barn Blog

The DT team come up with  some inspiring  ideas for calenders this week, as there is a 12 week calender challenge which started last week , unfortunately  the kitchen keeps calling me with all the jams jellies and chutneys that need to be made and I'm already behind with the online class but hope to catch up with the calenders soon :)

Well I never expected that !

For a forum swap we had to make a tag with a shadowed image and for some reason I wanted to use white as the shadow after a few failed attempts I settled on glossy card and used brilliance white and then stamp with a dye ink and to my surprise the white came through the darker ink giving what I think is a pleasing effect

I am also doing an online course with Jennifer McGuire, for the first day we have done different resist techniques and this is the first card made using the basic resist with Veramark on glossy card and dye ink
On the base card I stamped with versamark and brushed with mandarin perfect pearls
Thank for stopping by :)

Just for Fun Challenge

We are having Words at Just for Fun no not the disagreeable kind lol
We are asking you to make the words the focus of your creation this week,  when setting this challenge one song came jumped into my head and stayed there the whole day so now I shall inflict it on you tehe WORDS

Hope you have lots of fun with this challenge :)
It's the first of September and the abundance of Autumn fruits are waiting to be turned into jams jellies and chutneys so forgive me for not being as creative here but I'm in the kitchen with the pots and pan
