Faces

A nice easy challenge from OOTH this week with the theme of faces the only difficulty is deciding which one, I dug deep and found one I haven't used in a very long time, I think it came from Third Coast stamps and it's just the right size for an ATC

Have a great Easter break and thank you for popping by

Challenge 26 at Artful Times

Happy Easter to you all and I hope you are seeing the same sunshine I am seeing, though I wouldn't say it was warm

We have a challenge with a twist for you over the next fortnight, so what's the challenge. Make some charms  out of any medium of your choice, what's the twist, well if you would like to swap what you have made just e-mail me for details

Keeping with the Easter theme I have made some wire nests yes I know I have a real thing for wire going on at the moment lol and some dominoes some of which have AWOL

The domino has  been coated with ice resin the glossy paper (I find the glossy paper works best with the ice resin)  has been stamped with distress ink and then over stamped with brilliance inks.

Neet and I look forward to having you play along with us over at ArtfulTimes

Happy Birthday OOTH

Yes it's Out of the Hats birthday and to celebrate they have a game for you and for me it landed on steam punk something I usually shy away from, not because I don't like it I do, but because I don't think I can do it justice but I have tried.
This is the altered note I have made with embossing folders, die cuts, paint, rub-ons  and wire

Thanks for popping by and I would also liketoenter this for the Tando challenge of flowers

challenge 25 Alcohol inks

Hello from a wet and miserable Hampshire and I must apologise that I haven't been around much over the last couple of weeks, I have been in solitary confinement feeling very sorry for myself with a bug that's knocked me for six.

But on with the challenge which is to use Alcohol inks, there are lots of  techniques which can be found on the Ranger site but I was looking for something different and found something new to me on Roni's Blog so armed with a can of hairspray and glossy card I had to play and the effect is so different from any of the other techniques

You don't have to worry about over wetting the card as the hairspray doesn't make the paper cockle I then use purple twilight clover and butterscotch and blended by tipping the card the background stamping in Magenta and images in Archival the butterflies have been stamped on a separate piece of card and stuck on, you can't see in the photo but there is some stickles around the edge and the lower right corner.
Now whilst Iwas messing about with the hairspray I discovered it cleans rubber stamps !!!
Looking forward to seeing what you create with your Alochol inks at Artful Times

Challenge 24 Artful times

Spots and stripes / circles and lines that's the theme for the next fortnight at Artful Times.
Whether you choose to make a background or use them in your main images I'm sure you will have fun and make something amazing .

For my ATC I have used just 3 colours of distress re-inkers picked raspberry, salty ocean and mowed lawn, I applied a drop of each colour to a baby wipe and striped a piece of card then with out re-inking coloured another piece of card, I used that for the background and stamped some line in the same colours and using the bold striped card for the border and spots stamped the bird and then paper pieced onto the ATC

Hope you like it and join in the fun and Neet and I will be more than happy to visit you :)
