Stamped in black Archival coloured with DI's and perfect pearls on the dragon flies wings then softly framed with coloured chalks .
Now how messy can you get making a simple card ? very  lol I droped the chalks on the floor they landed upside down out of the tray and shattered .

Fabric and fibers at Just for Fun week 26

Here we are at Just for Fun. the last month of the week and the last Of  Zoe's material girls choice and how apt it's fabric or fibers :)
For this I made a sandwich with some organza and put in snippet of organza ,silks and fantasy film, then free embroidered with metalic thread , when I was happy that all was secure in the sandwhich I attacked it with the heat gun which distressed the organza on the outside and some of the fabric on the inside. I'm quiet happy with the result but I'm sure with practice it could be even better :) Mounted onto a beer mat painted with acrylic paints
Don't forget to check out the other amazing things the team have created to inspire you :)
Have fun

Ring bling and wire work

Hi all yesterday ( Saturday ) I went to  Art in Action at Waterperry Gardens and what a fantastic day it was with so much to see, more than we could do in a day I would have loved to show you all some photos of the day but being a bear of little brain I forgot to put the SD card back in my camera :(. How ever I did learn how to make a wire ring, was to late to sign up for the class but the tutor was very helpful and talked me through it, so had to do it as soon as I got home before I forgot :)
I've used a small piece of sea glass and a few beads

and this is a piece of shrink plastic decorated with UTEE and then wire wrapped. I really enjoyed making these and will certainly be doing some more in the future :)

Time to get Heavy week 25 at Just for Fun

We sure saw some fabulous corrugated creations last week what a wonderful lot of crafters you are :)
Over at Just for Fun we are still on Zoe's theme of materials and we are asking you to get heavy with the metal and if any of you have seen Leandra of Paperartsy demo at shows you can see where I got my inspiration from . The metal I've used came from a heavy foil meat tin which has been embossed in a folder and painted with acrylic dabber and the flowers punched from a drinks can.
Don't forget to make the metal the main focus of your creation :)
Looking forward to seeing yours

Shrinks plastic charms

Dangly things is what they are after at  Happy Daze  and it just so happened I have been playing with some shrink plastic. I coloured clear shrink plastic with AI inks and cut into long triangles punched a hole at the wide end before shrinking, while it was still warm twisted it to form the spiral and curled the tip to take a jump ring and the danglers
Thanks for taking the time to look

Lazy summers day Week 24 at Just for Fun

Here we are at the second week of Zoe's choice of materials at Just for fun and one you will all be familiar with, it's corrugated card found in strong cardboard box's by tearing off the top layer you know the sort you can get from the super market or you can use the thinner craft corrugated card that comes in different colours . I choose to use both on my project.
After removing the top layer which came off very cleanly wish it hadn't lol I paint with household paint, the nice thing about the craft on is you can punch shapes out of it, I then highlighted the raised bits with a silver dabber, the face I made in a mould with air dry clay and painted with distress rock candy.
I thought I was only joking when I said I be getting wet last Thursday as it was a day of heavy showers and we were at Alnwick Garden admiring the water features lol by the way they have the most amazing loos
Hope you will have lots of fun with this weeks challenge and look forward to seeing you take on the theme .
I'm also entering this to Sir Stampalots anything goes

CAS for Gingersnap on the road

Ginersnaps have an On the Road challenge which suits me very nicely, as I bought this darkroom door stamp just so I could  make my OH a birthday card.
I didn't ink the whole of the stamp and simply coloured with pencils.

This is one of those cases where the photo doesn't show just how colourful this tag really is but someone will will recieve it in our monthly swap so check out the details HERE
