Once you stop thinking about Christmas it's amazing how other ideas come flooding back . These are for a swap on Crafty Us hosted by Sylvia the theme cobwebs, humm they don't show up to well in the scan but I have used an iridescent embossing powder.

Silhouette

I think I mentioned I bought one of these machines well even though I'd lost my mojo it didn't stop me playing with it and trying it out :) and belive it or not I used some peices I cut on some ATC's for a swap, I stuck 4 together so they were nice and dimentional and inked them. Hope who ever gets them will like them :)

Lost my mojo

I haven't posted for a while as nothing was going the way I wanted, think I was thinking to much about Christmas which I have given up on now lol.
This is the card I did at the begining of the month adapted for a Christmas card so unless I get into the Christmas spirt this is what I'll be sending my family this year

A box, braclete and cards

Where have I been ? well I spent a lovely day with Lucy I enjoyed watching her work on some canvas using the tissue paper and she gave the courage to decorate my little box which I took with me :) I've used brilliance reinker and distress inks, the images are then stamped onto tissue paper and applied with modpoge I then finished with a coat of spray varnish

Oh I have been busy and not uploading slap hands :) I've been playing with my bird stamps again all the backgrounds have been stamped with versamark and chalked makes such a lovely soft background.

The single owl (free with an issue of Craft Stamper) was stamped onto paper coloured with distress ink along with the accent leaves .the bird was embossed direct on to the card and then stamped again onto another hand made paper and cut out and pieced on. Hope you like them as they were quick and easy to do :)

I finished off another 2 bracelets and I used snap fasteners that I got from the haberdashery shop, again I have use acrylic paints perfect pearls and heat embossed . Oh and a lesson learnt when punching the holes with the crop a dile make sure it's you haven't got the other half under the other hole punch lol hence the eyelet in the middle :)

love this owl :)

On Crafty Us Lindsey is hosting the atc swap and the theme is to use a serendipity background in autumn colours. I love to do this technique but have not done in quiet a while, usually I cut it up or punch shapes out of it so this was the first time I had used it as a background and I'll blow my own trumpet cos I love the way they have come out :) would have loved to keep them .
The owl is from Personal Impressions

I finally made something with the grunge board I've had for ages unused, after watching Sheena Douglas on Create and Craft.
I didn't have the cosmic shimmer products she used so used acrylic dabber and artist's acrylic paint, perfect pearls and regular embossing powder. I also didn't have the fastening so used a button and it works very well but that's me being inpatient lol I have now got some snap fasteners so will see how they work out

I actually bought the kit more than 10 years ago and have looked at a few time but this is the first time I've actually made anything, to small topper :) so I thought I use them for the paper craze challenge on lots to do
Thanks for looking :)

dried flowers and distress inks

I love how this card came out.
The urn is a judi Kin's stamp not sure about the background one it's an unmounted stamp from the US and looks like a William Morris design.
I've use fire brick, mustard seed and shabby shutters with the watercolour technique with tea dye and weathered wood blended on the back ground.
Hope you like it as much as I do :)

A mans card

Had some fun playing with paper to make this mans card for a swap :)

The flower one is with adirondack inks and the man coloured with chalks

Ive been getting some atc's ready for swaping as I'm off to Newbury tomorrow and meeting some members from other forums .

I've been challenged

I've been challenged by my friend Becky to use her stampscape stamp to make 3 atc's To say this was not easy ia an understatement , but instead of doing them on glossy card stock I've done them on regular. I'm quiet pleased with the 2 planet ones but the sun ones humm not so sure .

Von
A wedding card using a shaving foam background whith posh impression inks . Distress inks and h2o's

Birthday card for Cindy, an experiment using something that is like liquid pearl but cheaper and slower drying, you squeeze some onto an acetate sheet mix it up a bit and use it as an ink pad solid stamp work well remember to clean the stamps quickly with soap and water

This one was done with the Liquid Pearls you can see it has more pigment in it looks really good but you do have to be quick at cleaning your stamp after

Another tulip swap this time using the bleeding technique for the background, that's where you put wet tissue paper between 2 sheets of glossy card and leaving it to dry.

Made for a tulip swap. Stencil embossing paste which is then heated to give a distressed look

Used a stencil addirondack ink and a stipple brush for the main image and the cross is embossed in gold cut out and stuck with foam pads

Dragged alcohol background.
The image was sent to me by my friend Paula and I have coloured it with blendable penciles

Challenge card

Over on lots todo is the challenge to make something with a name on it and that spured me on to make a card for my friend Kat who has a birthday coming up.

Forgive me it's cute

I've been a bit under the weather lately so not done a lot of crafting and while I was under the weather I caught an extra bug ( the cute bug lol ) and I made a card with an image sent to me by my friend Lou.
I did enjoy making the flower I punch 3 for each flower and glued them together with wood glue makes them very strong and then coated them with glossy accents.
Hope I'm forgiven but it is rather nice lol
